PRODUCTIVITY

I had an allergic reaction to Mango, and I was prescribed steroids, and got A LOT done. Sewed 8 napkins, framed the lock up room, the bathroom, and raced around the island in the boat, trying to shake off the sight of the 5 legged spider. If you think any of this has gotten me down, you are sorely mistaken.

CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES

Building in the jungle is hot.  It is also awesome.  It inspires some of the work crew to sleep on the job. A person feels incredibly accomplished, when at the end of the day you can look at the expanse of your creation standing sturdy in front of you.  All is well in our world.  Sending love from the tropics.

Adventure ensues...  In six days we have had a huge explosion under the house, removed a dead cat from under the deck, had a giant window break over the babysitters head, chased a bat out of the house, and watched the kid tumble down a flight of stairs.  I feel acutely alive.  Waves are rolling in this afternoon.  We are at maximum happy.

THE TROUB

I saw the most awesome show at the Troubadour last night!!!  HAIM + Phantom Planet killed it.  There are no words for my love for the HAIM girls.  In my humble opinion, they are the best thing going in music right now. They are such sick musicians, and they wanted to introduce me to their mom, which just makes them so damn cute.  Phantom was as rad as ever.  Hail to the chief, I love a reunion.  The bros did not disappoint.  By the way... I leave tonight for Panama.  See ya....

DREAM COLLECTIVE

I just dropped off the Fall 2012 collection at 'Dream Collective', Kathryn Bentley's storefront on Micheltorena in Silverlake.  It is so beautiful in there.  Clare Vivier is moving a few doors down.  Woo Hoo.  It is a shopping day dream for the east side.  Anyway, they have the most amazing stock of my favorite Dieppa Restrepos in right now.  I bought two new pairs of the Cali Oxford.  They go perfectly with my new '30's Tennis' look.  Get yourself a pair, and a JK Trench while you are at it.  Love.
