Hot city.  Asphalt sticking to my slippers.  Sweat dripping down my neck.  Dungarees sticking to my thigh.  Thinking of the water.  Checked on the Boat Totes.  Tomato red looks so good.  Worked hard all day.  Gotta get wet. Jumped in a cool body of water.  Day is done.

ON THE UP AND UP

I am having a week of peaks and valleys.  I feel as if I have been wading through a thick fog.  A few visuals have made me smile, those are the peaks.  Greens and blues, buns and shoes, flora decomposing on my parent's deck, beaches and buoys.  My life in pairs.

Oh hells yeah I started doing watercolor.  Depressed women across the nation have turned to this treasured craft for decades, I am all in.

The other day some random dude told me that he loved me, and that I reminded him of his first teen crush, Chynna Phillips (of Wilson Phillips).  The dude was wasted.  I googled images of her, she is smoking hot.  My new inspiration...

STUDIO VISIT WITH PAPA SCOT

He is a surgeon, he is a cyclist, he is a wood turner, he is my father-in-law.  A lot like superman, he is handsome and moves at the speed of light.  Two years ago he started working the wood.  He is really talented, and since he already had one of his digits ripped off in a water skiing accident as a young man, he is not scared to just get in there and manipulate heavy chunks of wood rotating at a terrifying speed.  We just spent a week together at his mountain retreat, which is the home of his many boats, bikes, tractors, tools, every item REI ever made, every item Patagonia ever made, an elvis painting, a small collection of Carhartt denim, and his workshop.  It was a joy to watch him in his space.   He inspires me.
