LAND ART
On Friday I went to the Land Art show at MOCA Geffen downtown. One installation moved me in particular. In 1968-1969 Christo and Jeanne-Claude did a piece titled 'Wrapped Coast'. They wrapped one million square feet of the Australian coastline in poly mesh fabric. It appeals to me deeply as a textile worker and as an outdoorsman. I love this.

MORNING MAIL
This morning in my inbox... music to my ears...
Hello Jesse,
I got the sweatshirt from Of A Kind and am so pleased with it. The clean geometric print, beautiful fabric and sound construction makes it so good! It is gorgeously cozy on and perfect for this cooler weather we've been experiencing in Sydney, Australia.
Love your work and also admire your fashion ethos. I feel more appreciative of the things I buy when I know a little more about the process and about the designer.
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Margaret

WORK VS PLAY
This summer we... Surfed 3 hours a day, 6 days a week. Had his and hers royal blue native indian work pants made. Worked 8 hours a day, 6 days a week on the house, and have it ready to move in on the next trip. Designed a new collection, and made it safely back to California. It seems like a dream.

THIS AND THAT
Crafts, days on the beach, building sleeping lofts, learning languages, and mentally preparing for our return. Boo Hoo.
