AUCTION CRY

Things are getting hairy in the JK Holiday Silent Auction. You would not know it though, that is the beauty of the silent part.  If you wish to tangle, sign up for the catalogue HERE.   The bidding closes Saturday morning at 9 am PST.  This is the kind of madness that ensues:

LE TEXTILE

This is my favorite article of late.  Le Textile.  Fine Japanese Cotton//Linen blend.  Hand printed with the JK Prism print in nautical blue, and finished with a thin morrow edge.  They come in packs of 4.   You can get yours in the auction tomorrow.  I love them as a pocket square, a cocktail napkin, a handkerchief... You get the picture. It is a great gift for a gentleman, lady, or baby.

This may well be the greatest idea I ever did have.  The Jesse Kamm 2012 Holiday Silent Auction.  I will have the auction catalogue ready on Monday for you to peruse.  All bids start between $25 and $45.  The auction will start Wednesday, November 28... and last for 72 hours.  This is your chance to get beautiful garments for the price equivalent of a case of Cool Ranch Doritos.  That is what I said!  Everyone can participate, tell your mom, tell your neighbor, tell your postman for all I care.  This is going to be fun.  xo

My friend Rob is a man.  I posted his photo last week in "pink and blue".  There are really no words to describe him, or at least any that would really fit.  Amazing is one word that does not quite fit.  Unique, perhaps. This morning my friend Kate Schelter emailed me looking for an old photo for her website.
Digging through boxes brought me strong feelings.  Life is going really fast.  The image was
from the very first fashion shoot that Todd Cole ever did. Before fashion he did amazing
landscapes.  Kate was the stylist.  We were all so young.  Cut to 2012//  Todd is a huge fashion photographer. Kate is a huge fashion cosultant.  And I am me.  I am glad I am woven into
this history, and very glad to be on the other side of the camera.

My friend Annie and I bought a parachute.  It is the most beautiful thing.  Vintage. Silk.  We are in love.

HEARTBROKEN

Sunday morning.  'Bigger Blue' was sold.  My heart sunk as she drove away.  Why you ask would you sell such a treasure?   It is just too hard to keep up two vintage veggie-moblies.  She was the best looking car on the road.  Man it blows when practicality wins out over beauty.  Being mature is for the birds.

HALLOWEEN ACT II

Woke up.  Made a dress for my Michelle Pfeiffer//Scarface costume.  Went on an inspiration trip with my girlfriend.  Together we bought an amazing antique silk parachute... I am going to make us dresses out of it, and she can be in charge of getting the stank out.  Next we took the blonde to a party.

What went on next was pure decadence... I wore YSL, JK, diamonds, and a vintage fur...I smoked very long cigarettes, and I danced all night long under the moon lit sky, in a cemetery.  It was a magical day, and night.  There is still graveyard on my shoes.   Hollywood.  What a weird and wonderful place.

HALLOWEEN ACT I

My Knight in shining armor.  The blonde wears a tunic I made from cotton flannel and silk remnants.  He loves to talk about his tunic.  Next year he wants to wear a "Woof (wolf) tunic". That's cool. I like woofs.
