This warm California afternoon I was feeling blue. It was a long day at work, and then I had to take my sweet babe to get some shots. On the way home I reached into the back seat and was rubbing his foot, feeling tender about his sore arm. "Mom, what does that sign say?", he says. "That blue and white one", I ask. "Yeah. It says stop rubbin my foot." He is two and a half. It was a complex day.

HOLIDAY BAZAAR
Go west young ones. This Saturday there is going to be a Holiday Bazaar, and I will be there like a gypsy from the East, selling my wares to all that care. There will be linens for your home, bags for your ladies, dresses for your mom, and organic cotton for your babies. Other craftsmen will be on hand. Victoria Morris will be at my side, with some of the finest pottery in the land. Come one, come all, let's have a drink. You may find a tortoise print towel for your sink.

JOSHUA AND THE WILD RAG
This weekend I traveled to Texas to visit Grandpa Randolf Rudolph. I have a few tales about the trip, but I shall start here... at the end. Upon our departure from Dallas Fort Worth, we walked into the terminal and saw the most dapper lad. Luke and I both thought he was either a Famous Pool player or a Rodeo man, we were wrong.
Standing at about 6'6'' in his scalloped leacher boots, was Joshua Adam Cook, and his look was something to behold. I loved his authentic style. I really blew back his feathers when I asked to take his picture, he was truly humble and had a tale to go with every little detail.
Joshua wears Wranglers. His amazing boots were from Lost Valley Ranch in Colorado... he has had the resoled 3 times. The red and black silk "Wild Rag" scarf was beautiful, and it was tied with the most stunning leather braided "Wild Rag Tie" made by his friend Trevor. The cutlery in his pocket was such a great accessory. He had just met his Father at the airport on a layover, and had brought him some BBQ.
Now just in case you too would like to rock a Wild Rag Tie, you can learn how HERE.
Thanks Joshua.

TOTORO
Sometimes when I have a mental block, I I have to sidetrack my mind with a project. Here are two of my favorites. A Totoro doll for Julien, and a Totoro hat for my friend Una. She is 3. I used scraps from the studio. The Grey corduroy is from Fall 2007 trousers. Reuse. Recycle. Relax.

BEHIND EVERY GREAT DESIGNER
IS AN EVEN GREATER JAPANESE INTERN
My intern Chris is leaving. My protege. She has been interning with me for 11 months. It was supposed to be a 3 months, but she asked to stay on because she was learning so much. She said, "working for Jesse Kamm Industries made her a better person"... so tender. She is graduating soon, and got a job working for a trend forecasting company in Chicago. Boo yah.
We are hiring new interns. Send your applications to jesse@jessekamm.com. You too can come away looking like a miniature me, in your new limited edition JK Riviera Dress.
